
The first AIA Corpus Christi Christi Chapter Meeting in 2025 was held on Tuesday, March 25th at the Del Mar College Oso Creek Campus.
AIACC members and Allied members along with others from the local built environment came together to mix and mingle and enjoy drinks and dinner.
This Chapter Meeting was sponsored by LAN-Inc., who presented the presentation “Asset Management and Resiliency”.
Presenters were Kyle LeBlanc and Ashish Patel from LAN-Inc.
Student Members of the Del Mar College ACT Club were our guests and special donations were presented to Laura Wright Bienek, AIA, director of the Architecture/Drafting Technology department.
Cynthia Arbuckle and Paul Creacy from the Del Mar College Foundation were present to accept the generous donations as well.

MEET THE PRESENTERS:
Ashish Patel, P.E.
Associate Team Leader
Ashish Patel, PE, is a seasoned structural engineer with a rich history of over two decades in the industry. Ashish currently serves as a Team Leader for the Facilities Group at LAN and as an Interim Group Leader for the Bridge Group at LAN.
His expertise spans a diverse range of projects, from the analysis of satellite structures to the innovative design of ferry link span mechanisms akin to the human hand. A fervent advocate for interdisciplinary collaboration, Ashish has dedicated his career to elevating the role of consulting structural engineers, encouraging them to tackle challenging projects by providing innovative and cost-effective solutions. He has worked on several projects that required improving resiliency of existing structures throughout the State of Texas while always incorporating resiliency in his greenfield projects.
His commitment to professional growth and leadership is exemplified by his active involvement in the Structural Engineers Association of Texas (SEAoT). Ashish is currently serving as the President of SEAoT Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter and as the SEAoT State Board Member.
Kyle LeBlanc, P.E.
Senior Associate, Senior Program Manager
As a Professional Engineer and Certified Facility Manager, Kyle leads LAN’s facility condition assessment projects. He specializes in facility condition assessment database development processes and procedures and is experienced in report writing, data processing and presentations of findings to clients for facility master planning, capital improvement projects, and asset management.
Kyle’s approach to asset and project management is defined by his value of detail, a well-defined understanding of the assessment process and a clear picture of the end goal.
Through the course of his career, Kyle has led facility condition assessments for a wide variety of institutional clients and facility types totaling more than 80 million square feet. These efforts have helped to define client’s capital needs in excess of $2 billion; backed by a defensible data-driven approach.
Kyle also leads program management activities for LAN’s higher education client’s capital programs; and through these efforts is also responsible for defining and implementing many program management processes and procedures.
