AIA offers membership at the following levels: Architect; Associate; Associate-New Graduate; and International Associate.
Architect Member (AIA)
Individuals with an architectural license from a U.S. licensing authority are eligible for Architect membership.
Associate Member (Assoc. AIA)
Associate AIA membership is open to individuals who meet one of the following criteria:
- Professional degree in architecture
- Currently work under the supervision of an architect
- Currently enrolled in the Intern Development Program (IDP) and working toward licensure
- Faculty member in a university program in architecture
Associate: New Graduate Member (Assoc. AIA)
Graduates of accredited schools of architecture receive complimentary membership with the AIA at the Associate level for up to 18 months after date of graduation.
International Associate Member (Intl. Assoc. AIA)
Individuals who have an architecture license or equivalent from a non-U.S. licensing authority are eligible for International Associate membership.
AIA Corpus Christi Allied Membership
Companies, related organizations, and individuals who do not hold a degree in architecture, but share an interest in the built environment as a professional colleague or enthusiast are eligible for local Allied membership. Your membership is at the local level.
